Peer Support
Across our Trust team academies are constantly working together, whether it be a collective projects or straight academy-to-academy schemes which target specific initiatives. Amidst both the ad hoc and targeted initiatives, there are wider peer support activities which are mapped into our annual calendar.
For 2024-2025 we are formally providing:
Peer Reviews
Each of our academies are open and reflective to how they can continually raise standards and as part of this each maps in areas where a peer review – conducted by professionals and teams from within our Trust – can review and develop practice. This approach is very much done with, it is led by the home academy, and it is designed to support self-evaluation and to share best practice.
This academic year has seen work on primary assessment, Foundation Subjects, Sixth Form and Pupil Premium.
Secondary Subject Specialisms
Our secondary academies have pursued a need-led programme to target specific subject areas where there is particular room for improvement. Within this, subject specialists from different settings work together to share best practice and to facilitate developments.
This academic year has seen particular work in Psychology, Art and Maths.
Education Enhancement Projects
Our academies work together to provide curriculum opportunities where a single setting may not have the capacity, resources or range to deliver to their children alone. These projects are mapped in at the start of the years so they can be scheduled into calendars and schemes of work and they go on to provide an extended framework for delivery and growth.
This academic year we have projects involving Year 6 Maths Masterclasses, Computer Programming, Art projects and public speaking competitions.
Academy Development Projects
There is a wide range of expertise across our academies and particular specialisms and accreditations in one setting can be disseminated and then grow elsewhere.
This academic year we have seen expertise shared in a wide range of projects including assessment systems, AI, online safety, curriculum awards and exclusions.
